Cadence Named One of World’s 25 Best Workplaces
Anyone who has seen the SAS campus, which has its own gym, medical facility, cafeterias offering a wide variety of food, and endless free M&Ms, as well as a site featuring sculpture and art, doesn’t have much trouble understanding how SAS continually ranks as a best place to work.
To be considered for Great Place to Work’s World’s Best Multinational Workplaces, a company must appear on at least five national Best Workplaces lists, have at least 5,000 employees worldwide, and have at least 40% (or 5,000 employees) of its workforce based outside its home country.
No Indian company has however made it to the coveted annual list of 25 global companies that are best to work for. The ranking, derived from the world’s largest annual study of workplace excellence, identifies the top 25 best multinationals in terms of workplace culture. This year’s best workplaces represent operations in 47 different countries and come from industries ranging from cosmetics and candy to computer software and chemicals. Great Place to Work serves businesses, non-profit organizations and government agencies in 51 countries.
The list, which has been compiled by research and consulting firm “Great Place to Work Institute”, also declared the EMC Corporation at the sixth position, while software giant Microsoft managed a seventh place. “Because when they’re satisfied, our customers are, too”. The analysis, which involved survey responses from more than half a million employees at the 2015 World’s Best, found that six of the top 15 drivers indicate a festive, inclusive community is key to what makes the World’s Best great.
Other companies also find a place in the list, and this includes from the retail, financial services and hospitality fields. Atento’s shares trade under the symbol ATTO on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
