Cahill is staying at Chelsea, says Hiddink
As reported by The Guardian, the reigning Premier League champions are likely to reject the England international’s request to leave.
Chelsea are set to add to their defensive ranks with the signing of 20-year-old Miazga from the New York Red Bulls, and Hiddink confirmed that the United States worldwide will be part of the first-team squad – taking the slot vacated by Papy Djilobodji, who joined Werder Bremen on loan earlier this month – rather than heading out on loan for the rest of the season.

Now vice-captain in the England set-up, Cahill fears his spot is under jeopardy due to his lack of playing time and the emergence of John Stones.
Given the new contract, Chelsea could still command a good fee for the player as there is no risk of his contract running out any time soon.
While numerous top Premier League and European clubs have moved to an incentive-based wage system, Chelsea have stuck to a more straightforward model.
Cahill’s departure would definitely be best for both parties.
