Caitlyn Jenner gets second season of ‘I Am Cait’ despite ratings tumble
The news comes right after learning that Jenner also has a speaking tour planned for the New Year.
At awards bash earlier this week, former decathlete Caitlyn slipped into a floor-length Atelier Versace white gown in her first formal appearance as a woman. “The I Am Cait” star’s black high heels were even similar to the ones worn by the Duchess.
E! Network explained why they made a decision to give the reality show another run.
In announcing the pickup, Jeff Olde, executive vice president of programming and development at E! Network praised the show.
Showing Caitlyn’s relationship with both her family, including daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and transgender community, the ground-breaking series received a largely positive reception when it aired over the summer.
Caitlyn Jenner let Kate Middleton know Wednesday that she is a big fan of hers by channeling one of the royal’s most famous looks-the blue Issa London dress she wore to announce her engagement to Prince William in 2010.
In fact, “The I am Cait” star, who is the father of Kendall and Kylie Jenner, had put her own unique twist on the get-u by arranging the waist ties on her front where Kate tied hers around the back.
According to a report from People, the 65-year-old will have a talk entitled “Up Close and Personal”.
The show’s succeeding episodes rated even lower than its debut. The second episode itself gathered only 1.3 million viewers, which is reportedly lower that any “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” episode.
Per Entertainment Weekly, “I Am Cait” viewers went down to half of the number who watched the premiere.
