Caitlyn Jenner Named One Of Glamour’s Women Of The Year
“There’s not a mother in the world who wants her daughter to have fewer rights than she did-and for me, it’s the 2.7 million people Planned Parenthood serves each year who make everything I advocate for possible”. The company’s initial creations, Gone Girl and Wild, were successful at the box office and earned Academy Award nods.
Jenner’s mom, Esther, though supportive of her son’s life still calls her by her former name, Bruce.
This year’s awards will recognize the following inspirational women: Victoria Beckham, Misty Copeland, Elizabeth Holmes, Caitlyn Jenner, Cecile Richards, Reese Witherspoon, the Women of Charleston, and the USA women’s national soccer team.
Copeland is the first African American woman to become the American Ballet Theater’s principal ballerina. Amy Schumer will open the ceremony that draws a star-studded crowd each year. Then late-onset puberty brought on curves and a more muscular build that took her physique beyond the tiny ballet ideal. She fought back from injuries and prevailed.
She accuses Glamour magazine of “misogyny”, and observes that Caitlyn Jenner has not had transgender surgery, and besides, transgender men-to-women are “not women and do not look like, sound like or behave like women”.
“I started thinking, Maybe this is why God put me on earth”, said Jenner, who recently accepted the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs and premiered her own E! docu-series, “I Am Cait”.

“…For Alana Simmons, 26, Nadine Collier, 47, Bethane Middleton-Brown, 45, Felicia Sanders, 58, and Polly Sheppard, 71, the shooting wasn’t just another headline”. You have always been there for me, whether it was teaching me to ride a bike or picking me up from school everyday or just being a shoulder to cry on’. She is also well-known for her charity work with Save the Children, the Elton John AIDS Foundation, and PETA.
“Go in there; no more pain”, she told Glamour of when she thought about using the gun she keeps in her Malibu, California, home. A few women, most prominently 76-year-old Australian feminist icon Germaine Greer, scoff that the choice is a betrayal of real women.
