California dog fed BROKEN GLASS by house robber Valdo Diaz
His first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday at the Fremont Superior Courthouse.
The two men, from Oakland busted their way into the house after jumping over the backyard fence of the home and then smashing through the back sliding glass door.
In the video, you can see the suspects breaking and entering into the home.
A 21-year-old man arrested Wednesday on suspicion of a burglary in Fremont last month is also accused of animal cruelty because a dog at the residence was injured by eating shattered glass during the burglary, police said.
Fremont Police say two men shattered a window and burgled a home on Amapola Drive on August 28.
Once inside, the burglars ransacked the home, making off with an undisclosed amount of jewelry and cash. The dog, Marlie, began eating the food and glass and suffered cuts to its mouth.
Diaz was arrested on Wednesday morning on suspicion of burglary, felony animal cruelty and a parole violation. She was treated for her injury and has recovered.
Fremont police have made an arrest in a high profile burglary and animal abuse case.
