Californians shocked by quick rise in gas prices
WASHINGTON – Gas prices in the D.C. metro area are unchanged from a week ago.
In Los Angeles County, the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline recorded its largest daily increase since the record increase of October 5, 2012, rising 13.7 cents to $3.972.
The price of gas in the state is a penny below the national average of $2.76.
Delawaregasprices.com reports there are just over a dozen stations selling a gallon of regular for $2.59 or slightly less up and down the state.
The lingering effects of regional refinery issues continue to be reflected in monthly price comparisons at the state level. That reflects a trend felt among many other parts of the country.
Worldwide considerations remain front and center for oil prices, due to their potential to impact both global supply and nations’ demand for crude oil on the global market.
When oil was $100, gasoline was $4, now that oil is $50, why isn’t gasoline $2? Big Oil is ripping-off California big time.
