Call of Duty 2016 Coming Q4 From Infinity Ward
As for this new Call of Duty game, we don’t know if it’s going to be a sequel to Call of Duty: Ghosts, a new addition in the Modern Warfare series, a remake of Call of Duty 2 or any other.
Activision has confirmed a new Call of Duty game for 2016 and it is being developed by Infinity Ward as we speak.
Activision is also aiming to launch the sixth entry in the Skylanders series in Fall 2016.
Regardless of what direction Infinity Ward takes for the latest Call of Duty title, there is little doubt that it will be another popular seller for the franchise.
Stay tuned to IGN as more news and information on the next Call of Duty game becomes available. However, last-gen did get multiplayer for Black Ops 3 but I don’t think same will be the case this time around.
“Now it’s official”, the official Infinity Ward account tweeted. It is still unknown what games Horton will be working on, but given that Rise of the Tomb Raider was well-received upon its release, there’s hope that Horton can bring something new to Infinity Ward’s upcoming Call of Duty game. Another “large” expansion to the original game will be released this year, and the famed developer announced they’ll launch Destiny 2 in 2017. Even so, overall Call of Duty franchise revenue is projected to rise year-on-year, thanks in part to new downloadable content packs for Black Ops 3, including the recently released Awakening.
Call of Duty is doing better than ever. It was released in 2014 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
