Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Zombies goes ’80s, stars David Hasselhoff
These days a new Call of Duty game wouldn’t be complete without a zombies mode, and it looks like Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will deliver some of the most out-there undead-splattering fun yet.
Wyler has taken them to his studio to “transform” them into one of his characters and have them battle against zombies. all against the backdrop of an 80’s sci-fi horror amusement park. The sci-fi elements of previous games have been removed and there’s pretty much every 80s cliche you can think of including characters that boil down to the Jock, the Nerd, the Rapper and the Valley Girl with actors like Seth Green, David Hasselhoff (who plays a unusual DJ), Jay Pharaoh and more on-board.
On Wednesday, August 17 at 9am PT/12pm ET, the Call of Duty Twitch and YouTube channels will host a stream that offers up more information about Zombies in Spaceland, featuring Infinity Ward developers and Jay Pharaoh as host. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is meanwhile out on November 4th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Every year that a new game is released, a zombies mode comes with it that instantly attracts fans to it. Players spend hours upon hours playing this mode, advancing through waves of enemies and trying to break their previous record. As if that wasn’t enough, Baywatch stalwart David Hasselhoff is also on board as the Spaceland DJ, who is said to be a valuable asset to the team while also providing “a killer soundtrack”. The popular and revamped Terminal multiplayer map will be included. The title is rated PEGI 18. In a time of unthinkable hardships, Reyes must lead the remnants of coalition forces against a relentless enemy in a war that stretches to new terrains across the vast expanse of our solar system.
This year’s mode looks to be a far cry from previous releases with the series taking a somewhat weird turn, swapping sci-fi for B-Movie horror.
The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare image released way back then showcased what appears to be a film reel, with a handful of popcorn and some blood stains.
