Cam Newton Closing in on History for Surging Carolina Panthers

Carolina quarterback Cam Newton threw a career-high five touchdown passes to lead the Panthers to a 44-16 win against Washington.

Carolina stretched its regular-season win streak to 14 games, including eight straight at home, and became the 16th team in the Super Bowl era to start 10-0.

With a win the Panthers will definitely have history on their side as far as advancing to the Super Bowl. No matter how big you are, no matter how little you are, you have to protect the football.
