Cam Newton named 2015 NFL MVP by writers association
The Carolina Panthers stars season can be hallmarked by the fourth quarter comeback against the Seattle Seahawks.
Ginn Jr. has seven big plays (25+ yards), Olsen had an awesome 12 big plays for the Panthers offense.
Sarah ends her note to “Mr. Classless Cam Newton” by saying “good luck and may God teach you what real winning looks like”.
Newton was selected by the Professional Football Writers Association as the 2015 NFL MVP and Offensive Player of the Year.
Behind Newton, Carolina recorded its best record in franchise history at 15-1, earning the the top seed in the NFC.
As the Panthers and Cardinals prepare to face off in the NFC Championship Game, here are a few reasons you should be looking forward to Sunday’s duel between Newton and Palmer.
Now, Newton isn’t making any guarantees for Sunday like Namath did, but he has a similar swagger that has been the overbearing root of his success, looking like a kid having fun on the field.
So how did Cam win these awards? And he has succeeded in them. He may have been even more of a force on the ground, rushing for 1,586 yards and 24 touchdowns. The Panthers collectively only had a 4.7 % drop rate on Newton’s passes.
There is not another player in the league who has put up those types of statistics this season, or taken a team under his wing like Newton and the writers finally noticed and made the right choice.
