Camera-focused Oppo F1 launched at Rs 15990
Oppo F1- the first smartphone under Oppo’s F series – boasts an 8 megapixel front camera and a 13 MP rear camera.
The company detailed some specifications of the upcoming Oppo F1 Plus as well, including a 5.5-inch display and 4GB of RAM. The provided teaser also mentions an improved selfie experience for the Plus model. While at the back, there is a 13-megapixel f/2.2 rear camera with single LED flash and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) support.
The Oppo F1 Plus, on the other hand, offers a somewhat better specs on the inside, and is a bit bigger than its sibling. The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, bundled with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB RAM. Design-wise, we expect little change as well, meaning that overall the F1 Plus could be somewhat of a mirror image of the R7s, just like the F1 is to the R7 in a lot of respects.
OPPO has launched a new smartphone in its Fashion series called OPPO F1 Plus. It offers an inbuilt storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. It has hybrid slot which can act as a Dual Sim slot or MicroSD slot. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 5.1-based ColorOS 2.1 and includes an internal storage space of 16 GB. If the company’s claims are believed to be believed, its front camera can capture photos 30 per cent clearer than a standard 5 megapixel camera and 44 per cent brighter than those taken with an f/2.4 lens. It is shielded by 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 coating with a pixel density of 294ppi.
Along with the F1, Oppo also launched a selfie stick that will be available in blue and pink colour options in the Indian market.
Sadly, Oppo seems to have given issue battery life a miss by opting for a 2500mAh unit that could play spoilsport to Oppo F1’s plans in the market. The connectivity options bundled with the handset include support for 4G LTE networks (India bands supported), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB connectivity.
