Campaign bar on Imran: PTI to challenge ban
Defying apparent rules for election campaigning, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, after consultation with legal experts, announced a full scale electoral drive for NA-122 and NA-154 constituencies.
He said the PTI chief wants to avoid embarrassment of defeat in forthcoming re-elections by accusing the police.
Sarwar demanded to impose a ban on participation of prime minister, governors and chief ministers in the electioneering. He also announced to hold a major rally in Islamabad against the ECP on October 4.
“I will myself lead a full-blown election campaign in NA-122 and 154″, said he adding”, The Supreme Court’s judgment is not stopping me from taking the field”.
“No one talks about the corruption in Punjab, during this campaign we will uncover the corruption done by the PML-N and Sharif Brothers”.
Daniyal Aziz said the entire nation is aggrieved over yesterday’s tragic incident in Peshawar but Imran Khan is beating about the bush of rigging today. “Empowering NAB is a must to curtail the increasing influence of army”. He said the election commission which was involved in historic rigging is still present in Punjab, adding that the election commission of Punjab will try to help PML-N in achieving success in by-polls. Imran said only the Pak Army has the capability to counter the deadly terror attacks. He also showed his concern over a member of the Election Commission from the Punjab, Riaz Kiani, saying all opposition parties unanimously rejected him, but he still refused to resign.
