Can Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi Survive The Bachelor Curse?
It remains to be seen how the “Bachelor” 2017 lead and victor will survive.
“We nearly feel like the pressure makes us back off even more, you know?” Get a single celebrity (male or female ) to be the Bachelor or Bachelorette and they pick a non celebrity at the end.
“Some days are better than others” is not the first thing you’d expect to hear from the newly-proposed to victor of “The Bachelor”, but that’s exactly what Vanessa told Harrison when asked how things were in the relationship. “Ours is just televised”. But they’re far from the only Bachelor couple that’s been a mismatch.
The two have been honest about trying to make it on the reality series, which asks the contestants to not go out in public until the finale is revealed.
Though Bushnell is still wearing her dazzling diamond engagement ring, a question mark looms over whether she and Higgins will make it in the long run amid their participation in couples’ counseling. She is a Canadian protective of her Italian heritage and Sunday dinners in Montreal.
On their final one-on-one, Nick took Vanessa horseback riding in the snow, to a cabin where he surprised her with a visit from Santa Claus.
Ultimately, Nick embraced his feelings for Vanessa, admitting he’d perhaps been running from his emotions. The choice is between Vanessa Grimaldi and Raven Gates for his final rose. Nick’s mom also sees Raven as someone who can’t hurt another person.
She made it clear she would only stay if he was serious about finding true love not lust. At the end, the family is for Vanessa but the final say would still come from Nick’s.
Meanwhile, Nick mused in the next scene, “it’s just easier with Raven”, as the two went on a whimsical ice skating jaunt before he brought her PUPPIES (this date was so much better than the Santa thing).
So, no, Nick didn’t get his heart broken for a fourth time.
“I’ll never regret standing here telling you how I feel”, Gates told him. But then, Vanessa, in a solo interview, sighed before she offered up “It’s been good”.
The two reminisced about the first time they saw each other.
Raven, however, is “really happy” for Nick and wants “the world” for him. Viall was once again dumped in the finale, this time as he was down on one knee about to propose. Who meets with their potential fiance’s parents and says she’s not ready to get engaged?
