Canadian connection: Drake meets Celine Dion at Billboards
Celine Dion performed the Oscar-winning theme song to “Titanic”, “My Heart Will Go On”, during the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday in celebration of the film’s 20th anniversary.
Here’s a snippet of Celine’s powerful performance. Check it out above. But with Luda serving as co-host of last night’s show, it was the flawless opportunity for Drake to smooth things over.
Drake also performed “Gyalchester” in the Fountains of Bellagio.
There were also performances from Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, Lorde, The Chainsmokers, Camila Cabello, John Legend, Miley Cyrus, Imagine Dragons and country music stars Florida Georgia Line and Sam Hunt plus Selena Gomez songwriter Julia Michaels. Her performances preceded her acceptance of the prestigious Icon Award.
Her racy look featured a diamond-studded bra and a heart-shaped nipple pastie. Gone were the pasties and unicorn onesies. For the first number, Cher sported a glitzy, barely there ensemble with sliver boots and a white wig.
The top 5 most memorable moments from the night are listed below.
