Candidates Step up Their Game Before Super Tuesday

We have seen that eight years ago despite winning the majority in Super Tuesday, Hillary Clinton went on to lose the nomination. Super Tuesday, when Colorado will be joined by 11 other states and American Samoa (for a total of 10 primaries and three caucuses), figures to bring significant clarity to a presidential race that thus far has defied conventional wisdom on both sides of the aisle.

However, both of these candidates had the highest unfavorable rating among all candidates.

Democrats will hold a straw poll this year, although the vote will not bind the party’s delegates.

In other words, the Democratic Party’s superdelegates exist to preserve the power and influence of the Democratic Party’s elite.

In a state where right-wing Christianity has long suffused Republican politics, it suddenly mattered less. You must have registered with your political party by early January.

For Republicans, it’s their last best chance to halt-or at least slow-Donald Trump’s momentum. But democracy is democracy, folks. We just don’t know where he stands on so many issues.

According to a new poll, almost one in three Trump supporters in SC supports banning gay people from entering the United States. Sweeping them under the rug via a superdelegate trouncing would be convenient but wrong.

The break with the past is more clearly apparent in the GOP, where class identity has abruptly eclipsed religious and cultural identity as the primary determinant of how Republicans vote.
