Captain America: Civil War trailer drops
“Captain America: Civil War” is directed by Cleveland brothers Anthony and Joe Russo.
Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr return for the film, but there’s no sign of Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) or Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) in the trailer.
Keeping in line with the comic series of the same name, Civil War will be welcoming back many supporting cast members from previous Marvel films.
Captain America Civil War is in cinemas in April 2016. Not necessarily a bad thing of course, and from the trailer it looks like we’ll be getting the same solid action beats and fight scenes these movies always give us.
On Tuesday, Jimmy Kimmel Live helped stoke that fire with a fresh new trailer, presented by the well-coiffed likes of Chris Evans and Robert Downey, Jr.
Marvel dropped the first trailer for “Captain America: Civil War” in the middle of the night, and it’s probably best because we needed a good night of sleep to prepare us for it. Strictly speaking, this is Steve Rogers’ third movie, but there are so many Avengers and villains who appear in it, it may as well be an Avengers film. Another stark image from the trailer includes Iron Man kneeling next the body of a downed – and possibly deceased – War Machine. General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (William Hurt) is seen sliding a bill towards Cap, and it’s this bill that’s created to enforce harsher restrictions on superhero activities, thereby causing the Avengers to take sides against one another. There’s also one brief glimpse of Martin Freeman’s character whose role is still unclear, but it’s believed he plays some role for the government and has to liaison with the superheroes.
