Cara Delevingne Thanks ‘Paper Towns’ Author for Defending Her After Awkward
Paper Towns author John Green has defended actress Cara Delevingne and accused the media of asking her questions different to her male co-star following a disastrous interview earlier this week.
In a blog post, Green discussed the ridiculousness that was Cara’s interview and the even more absurd question they asked her: Did you read the book? The interview has been debated across the world, with sides split between the trite questions she was asked and the sarcastic answers she gave. After that mistake, the very first question that she asked was whether or not Delevingne got the chance to read the book. I do not find in that behavior entitled or haughty. I find it admirable.
Or, in less literary terms: “Eff off”.
When Green replied that he was the author, she responded, “thank you so much john!!”
“Cara, however, refuses to stick to the script”, he wrote. Just in case you missed the incident in question, Delevingne appeared on the local morning show in the California state capital to promote Paper Towns.
You know it’s a rough work day when you mistake one veteran actor for another, which is precisely what happened when this news anchor confused Samuel L. Jackson with Laurence Fishburne.
When the interview is cut, McClary said, “She was in a mood”. “I think we ought to say we’re here as hucksters”, he tells one interviewer who suggests that the studio might be displeased if their substantial cash outlay didn’t lead to useable publicity.
British supermodel Cara Delevingne survived a painful-to-watch interview with the hosts of “Good Day Sacramento” on Tuesday. The problem, he argues, is with the way the question was asked. Everyone had opinions about this particular stop on the press tour, some claiming that Delevingne was justifiably annoyed at the unprofessional nature of the interview, while others thought that she was just a brat. But it’s easy to see why Delevingne, the star of the new movie Paper Towns, was annoyed.
