Care needed to ensure more treats than tricks
It is a fun way to trick-or-treat in a more controlled environment. Mother Nature is also creating a scare for several parishes. Rain is in the forecast for the entire metro area Saturday.
Emmetsburg – Lakeside Lutheran Home will be hosting a “Spooktacular Night” on Friday, October 30 from 6 pm to 730 pm featuring Spooky Corridors, Haunted Hallway to Eerie Assisted Living with a Costume Contest at 7:00 pm.
Whiteland: 6 to 9 p.m.

Kids, please have your parents check ALL treats before eating them!!! Make sure your kids (and adult friends and relatives!) can walk, see, and breathe properly in their costumes. Kids must be told to never eat treats before they have been inspected by an adult.
Families want to stick to the fun and avoid the scare of letting their children out onto the streets for trick-or-treating. And you can monitor them on another phone or through a website on a computer.
Dressing up on Halloween to collect candy is one of the best things about being a kid. When in doubt, throw the candy way.
ALWAYS scream, kick and punch anyone who tries to grab or force kids to go with them.
With Halloween night around the corner, parents want to make sure their kids are safe while out trick-or-treating.
There’s enough fake blood, fake injuries and fake deaths on Halloween without adding real tragedy to the equation because someone isn’t being mature or paying attention.
