Carey Mulligan’s best kept secret: She had a baby!

Mama Mulligan! Carey Mulligan and her husband, Marcus Mumford, are seeing pink.

The actress announced the exciting news to during her first television sit down interview since giving birth, on the Graham Norton show.

Carey Mulligan and Mumford and Sons’ Marcus Mumford welcomed their first child a few weeks ago, and she’s now revealing they have a baby girl. The An Education star didn’t open up about her daughter at the film festival or really onset at The Graham Norton Show.

A source told us that everything in the Mulligan household was running smoothly since giving birth.

Although she didn’t offer many details about her new bundle of joy, we are thrilled to see her happy and healthy!

In June, she wore a structured maroon Balenciaga gown, that only barely suggested a baby bump, to the 2015 Tony Awards in New York, where she had been nominated for best actress in a leading role for her performance in Skylight. The 30-year-old was said to have missed the world premiere of her film in Telluride at the beginning of September because she was due to give birth any day.

Now that’s definitely a project her little girl can look up to!

Their good friend, Sienna Miller, has spoken out on her excitement for the couple to become parents. “She is really excited to finish her projects up in the next coming months and enjoy a few time off to just focus on her and family”, another insider told us. “The show ends soon and they’re going back to England after”.
