Carrie Fisher reveals Star Wars ‘hyperdrive’ advice for newcomer Daisy Ridley

When one journo/fan asked Carrie, 59, whether she had given any advice to the young cast, including Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, she deadpanned: “Don’t go through the crew like wildfire”.
Discussing Daisy being the same age she was when the original “Star Wars” movie was released in 1977, she said: “She isn’t she’s four years older than I was!”
Daisy, who plays Rey, recalled daydreaming about being on the side of a bus while she worked in a pub just two years ago. We recently went to Tokyo and the first thing I saw was a 7-Eleven (store) with Daisy’s face, my face and BB-8.
Speaking at the same event, she said: “I haven’t seen my face on a bus yet”.
Meanwhile Carrie, who returns as Princess Leia in The Force Awakens, has had decades to get used to seeing her image on the film’s merchandise.
“I spoke to John (Boyega) the other day and was like, ‘I can wait – I hope I’m on a bus.’ But I’ve not seen myself on a bus yet”.
She added: “And there’s a marijuana strain called Princess Leia…” The actress, who reprises her role as Princess Leia (now General Leia), had some sage recommendation for leading lady Daisy Ridley. “A friend told me about it”.
