Carrie Fisher to appear on two new Family Guy episodes
Canadian YouTube star Corey Vidal shared a amusing story about the late Carrie Fisher, who died early Tuesday morning after going into cardiac arrest on December 23 as TooFab previously reported.
Her mother Debbie Reynolds gave an update over the weekend, saying she was in stable condition.
Fisher had already completed her work on Episode VIII, which is scheduled to hit theatres in December 2017 – almost a full year after her death. “I thank you for your prayers & good wishes”. She was 60 years old. “She had an indomitable spirit, incredible wit, and a loving heart”. She also supplied the voice of a recurring character on the animated “Family Guy” for the past decade. He had earlier told The Associated Press that she had been stabilized and was out of the emergency room.
She was on an airplane from London to Los Angeles when the incident happened.
She received medical treatment on the plane, before she was taken to UCLA Medical Centre.
“She is in the intensive care unit, she is being well looked after”, Todd said at the time.
Harrison Ford, who played Han Solo opposite the actress, said in a statement: “I’m shocked and saddened to hear the news about my dear friend”. She could be a commander of the universe but never thought she was above the people (or creatures).
While her role as Princess Leia brought her worldwide renown, Fisher was also known for being outspoken about mental illness and addiction – and for being an all-around bad-ass feminist. Fisher’s work on the sequel was finished, ‘ a source said.
“In Star Wars she was our great and powerful princess – feisty, wise and full of hope in a role that was more hard than most people might think”, he said.
She’s also set to appear in the upcoming fashion-fantasy film Wonderwell starring Rita Ora.
In her later years, Fisher published memoirs – 2008’s “Wishful Drinking”, based on Fisher’s one-woman Broadway show, 2011’s “Shockaholic”, and 2016’s “The Princess Diarist” – and acted in select projects, including “The Force Awakens” and the British television show “Catastrophe”.
