Carrie Underwood Gets Real About Motherhood: “What Did I Do Before?”
I was lucky: “I gained only 30 pounds, which is the recommended amount, and I exercised throughout my pregnancy”, she said.
“I was taking things with Ephedra in it”, she said in comments published on Wednesday.
“I will take any type of workout I can get, whenever I can get it”, announces Carrie Underwood, 32, singing sensation and clothing designer. “That’s why I created [clothing line] Calia…and now I wear it everywhere”.
Carrie Underwood has recently revealed that she used to take diet supplements containing a unsafe herb to try to lose weight. Within 20 days, though, I was able to begin walking slowly on the treadmill and around my neighborhood.
Underwood talked about the fitness routine to Shape, saying the following. I choose seven different exercises, like squats, lunges, or pushups, and do eight rounds of each – 20 seconds on, 20 seconds off for eight rounds.
“When I got the OK from my doctor, I started exercising with my trainer”, she said.
Throughout the same Shape interview, Underwood also shared several other tips to help get in shape after having a baby.
The “Something in the Water” singer told Huffington Post that aside from getting conscious of her body weight in the past while she was in “American Idol”, she also regretted how her hair looked in the show.
She also talked about finding ways to save time by wearing similar clothes to workout for everyday life.
The CMA Awards host, whose new album, Storyteller (preorder it here), is out October. 23, says she’s more “loosey-goosey” than she ever thought she’d be as a mom – and confesses that motherhood and marriage weren’t always where she saw her life going. But that is all behind her now as Carrie has made a complete lifestyle change, especially after giving birth to her son.
