Carson says ‘senior team’ staying in place despite shake-up speculation
Republican candidate Ben Carson is seeking to take control of his struggling presidential campaign amid an increasingly public clash between his top advisers, saying Wednesday that blame for his drop in the polls lies with his campaign and that he plans to shake up his staff in the coming days.
But in Wednesday’s interviews, Carson sounded genuinely concerned with his campaign’s spending choices, telling the AP, “Yes, we’ve had enormous fundraising, but that requires that you be efficient in the way you utilize the funds”.
Carson initially declined to say whether his campaign manager, Barry Bennett, would remain in charge.
This one’s about why he chose to be a pediatric surgeon: “With a kid you can operate for ten, 12, 15, 18, 20 hours and if you’re successful your reward may be 50, 60, 70, 80 years of life, where as with an old geezer you spend all that time operating and they die five years of something else, so I like to get a big return on my investment”, Carson laughingly told employees at the tech company Dyn in Manchester. CNN previously reported that Carson’s campaign was in crisis and that the unorthodox structure of the neophyte politician’s campaign was proving to be a liability.
The apparent rift between Carson, Williams and the paid campaign staff comes after his weeks-long slide in polls.

“We had our standard 3:30 p.m. call and I asked him about the story”. But until the recent terrorist attacks in Paris and California -Carson didn’t talk too much about the issue.
“There isn’t anybody there who is unpleasant”, Carson said. Another challenge: He is soft-spoken in a race dominated by media-savvy, tough-talking figures including real estate mogul Donald Trump and Texas Sen.
Then came the internal disarray. I mean, we don’t ever claim to be flawless. They also raised questions about who is making decisions and who holds more influence with Carson.
Turning toward the primary calendar, Carson said Iowa and SC will be his chief focus and that New Hampshire, with its “volatile” dynamic, will be less of a target.
“I think I have to directly address the issue”, he said, sitting in his basement game room, where the walls around him are covered in decades’ worth of accolades. “And we’re going to analyze it very carefully”, Carson said.
“They have a global strategy”, Carson said, arguing that the USA must match it.
However, the marketing crusade stated, it doesn’t anticipate employees cuts despite falling poll numbers.
