‘Castle’ Season 8 Premiere: New Spoilers, Sneak Peeks, And More
Although the Season 7 finale left Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) on a good note, not all will be well when things resume. Beckett is preparing to officially be a Captain, and that means getting a chance to really lead a team and have additional responsibility. In this episode told from Castle’s lens, Beckett is officially installed as the captain of the 12th precinct.
If you went into Monday’s Castle Season 8 premiere cold/spoiler-free, I’m especially curious how you responded to its unique structure, told as it was exclusively from the point of view of Rick as he scrambles to process/solve Kate’s sudden disappearance.
Tracking one of the theater gunmen’s stolen credit cards, Castle & Co. meet Hayley Shipton, a disgraced British bobby who now is investigating the theft of thousands of Social Security numbers to furnish fake IDs.
For the new bosses, that starts with shaking up the status quo and bringing in some fresh blood. According to Entertainment Weekly on Monday, the producers have promised more affection in the show’s upcoming eighth season. What can you say about how the second part is going to unfold? “We still treat every episode as a romantic comedy”. He also finds himself a partner that he wasn’t looking for, but should consider keeping because Alexis Castle is no longer a child and she’s picked up a thing or two on how to solve these cases. We will be going back and re-interrupting and they will help us spin out the storytelling throughout the season.
“The great thing about the show is, tonally, we get to be really amusing . So we put all of that into the pot on this”, Hawley told The Hollywood Reporter. “Again, it’s adding a little bit of extra conflict”.
So, here are 5 reasons why “Castle” Season 8 gets a “rebirth” with changes-themed more character-driven show. After Bracken was arrested in season six, Beckett went off to become just a happily married cop who works hard and all that kind of stuff, but we didn’t really believe that that had been turned off. That door had just been forced closed and so we blow that door open in the beginning of this season. We split things up and we kick things around and at the end of the day, we’re in it together. Of the Castle women, I’d prefer to see Martha she’s got a spunky personality, wisdom, and a persona that makes her very likable. “She’s a little easier than Adam Baldwin [was] on him, but there’s definitely an energy about her which is a lot of fun”, Hawley says.
WINTER: I absolutely agree. It’s going to be a fun, dynamic season.
