Castro and Obama to meet at UN
The United States and Cuba officially reestablished full diplomatic relations on July 20 by reopening embassies in the countries’ capitals after 54 years of hostility.

However, they said the US will consider abstaining if the wording of the resolution significantly differs from previous years. He also said that, “today, a few 60 million men, women and children have been forced from their homes, many by conflicts in the Middle East and in Africa”. “If we want a habitable world, we need to adopt tangible commitments on the matter of development assistance”.
Obama will also meet with foreign leaders one-on-one, including Cuban leader Raul Castro on Tuesday.
