CAT Results Leaked Beforehand ?

Students who had appeared for CAT on November 29th, 2015, were in for a surprise in the wee hours today. In the evening, the results of this fiercely competitive examination were put on the website as well.

Some sources and reports claimed that some of the candidates and hackers have managed to access the result page oat IIM-A site to check the official percentile before the official result was declared using some hacks. Ever since, some of the students have floated the news on popular platforms and disclosed it. Later, the results of the page have been disabled by the officials and yet there is no official announcement on the official declaration of results. It shows only overall percentile while the detailed result would be made available shortly on the CAT 2015 site.

IIM, Ahmedabad, conducted CAT 2015 with test delivery partner Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Ltd. India has 19 IIMs that admit around 3,600 students a year.

For all those who don’t know the selection process includes a Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI). “We had messaged the total percentile to all the candidates at 1:50pm and at present, the candidates can also log in with their ID and password to view their score card”. “This year the scores would change due to non-MCQ questions because no one can assess the difficulty level, correct attempts and there is no negative marking in those questions”, says IMS Chief Mentor, Vinayak Kudva.
