The housemates then rushed to find Angie who abruptly corrected Tiffany’s mistake and revealed that Celebrity Big Brother informed her that her ex-husband, who she was married to for a decade, had died, not David Gest.

However she then said: “He is fine, he is cute, but it doesn’t mean I want to sleep with the boy…”

Celebrity Big Brother continues on Channel 5 tomorrow night at 9pm. “Why the f*** would she do that to me?”

As Pollard remained furious at having supposedly been misled, her fellow housemates turned against her and rallied around Bowie.

She then proceeded to charge at grieving Angie, before they explained that it was David Bowie.

But later, she apologised, saying: “I’m very sorry for your loss, I really am”.

“She hasn’t seen the family for over 30 years so it all sat pretty well with her. People are assuming that, maybe because she’s slightly older than most people in the house and because maybe she’s a woman, she doesn’t have the same ability to defend herself”.

Jonathan – who lasted only a week before calling it quits – said: “It’s going to be a awful situation here, and I just don’t want to be part of that situation. It’s getting down and dirty and there’s a bad vibe in the house”.

Gemma Collins was distraught to say goodbye to Cheban, as the two had formed a close friendship in the house. “I know people can’t stand me and are just tolerating me!”

He complained: “I hate pink, bubblegum and glitter”.
