CBI asked to target all opposition parties : Arvind Kejriwal tweets
He tweeted saying, “A CBI officer told me yest that CBI has been asked to target all opp parties n finish those who don’t fall in line”.
Following the CBI raids, Mr Kejriwal had slammed the Centre for targeting him and said that the investigation against Mr Kumar was just an excuse.
Responding to Jaitley’s defence of himself, Kejriwal asked: “Can Jaitley’s denial be taken as gospel truth?”
Stepping up attack on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over alleged corruption in DDCA during his tenure, the AAP on Saturday posed more questions to him, saying it would continue to raise its voice against graft in the state cricket body.
On the other hand, the CBI in its statement said that they did not even enter Arvind Kejriwal’s office and that they raided CM’s secretary Rajender Kumar’s office over corruption charges. “Kejriwal seems to believe in untruth and defamation, delivered in a language that borders on hysteria”, the BJP veteran said in a Facebook post.
He further added, “It is a part of propaganda technique to deflect attention when you yourselves are in the dock”.
CBI spokesperson on Tuesday flatly denied reports about a search being conducted at the office of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. “The chief minister made him his secretary in his two-time government and, considering his specialisation in corruption, promoted him and appointed his principal secretary in his government the second time”, he said. CBI kept reading DDCA file in my office. The CBI denied entering his room. “Chief Minister calls the CBI an agency working at the behest of the Central government”. “We want to highlight that this scam started in 2006, when Jaitley was at the helm of affairs of the DDCA, and went on till 2010, and Jaitley was still heading the DDCA”.
