CBS Counts On a New Male British Face, James Cordon, For Its Late Late Show
James Corden of the British film, theatre, and television star fame is all set to replace Craig Ferguson on Late Late Show. There have been rumors all around following the new fact of the show, following one-late night crack. Now it is no more rumor, but a fact.
Corden to Step In
However, it seems that CBS has just done that banking on a new white male British to host its popular show. James Corden will probably be taking over the role of Criag Ferguson as the latter departs at the year end, as per the informed agents. Corden rose to fame in the original London production of the History Boys, playing the role of Timms. The popular face also made his appearance in Doctor Who and was the lead in the comedy play One Man, Two Guvnors, winning him a 2012 Tony Award for best actor. A representative for Corden in the U.K. did not reject the report, but rebuffed to comment. Corden was the co-writer, star and co-creator of BBC comedy show, Gavin & Stacey, which fetched him a BAFTA.
Ferguson’s Revelation
Ferguson, on the other hand, became a U.S. citizen in 2008. In April, he already confirmed to his studio spectators that he would be leaving the show before the year concludes, when his contract expires. As Ferguson stated, he and CBS are not getting divorced, instead they are “consciously uncoupling”. The duo will still spend holidays together and also share custody of fake horse as well as robot skeleton. Following Ferguson’s comment, rumors arose.
We wish all the best to James Corden for his new role. We also hope to see him in more films and television series where we will find him revealing his acting talent to the fullest and offering us the scope to enjoy our time too with him.
