CBS pulls ‘Angel From Hell’ from schedule
A repeat episode of The Big Bang Theory will air in its place this week.
Angel features Lynch as Amy, a colorful, eccentric woman who claims to be the guardian angel for Allison (Maggie Lawson), a dermatologist with a much more orderly life and personality. Kevin Pollak, and Kyle Bornheimer round out the cast. Angel From Hell, which premiered on January 7 with 8 million viewers for a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demo, has struggled to find an audience, even when factoring in delayed viewing. The second episode dropped to just under 7 million but rebounded slightly to just over 7 million viewers for the third episode.
Are you disappointed by CBS’ decision to cancel Angel From Hell after only five episodes? That’s about two tenths below what the previous occupant of the 9:30 p.m. Thursday spot, “2 Broke Girls”, drew in the fall.
This hole in the schedule now lets “2 Broke Girls” slide back into the Thursday spot, but it won’t happen right away. The comedy now shares the 8pm timeslot with Mike and Molly; it is unclear when Molly will air the rest of its final season.
