CBS Pulls Scheduled Supergirl Episode In Wake Of Paris Attacks
In the episode which was supposed to air this week, “How Does She Do It?”, Kara Danvers/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) has to stop several bombings in National City. “In its place, CBS will now air the “Livewire” episode, which THR says, “…revolve[s] around Danver’s relationship with her foster mother played by Helen Slater”.
It is unclear when the previously scheduled episodes of “Supergirl” and “NCIS: Los Angeles” will air. Also, when an accident transforms a volatile CatCo employee into the villainous Livewire, she targets Cat and Supergirl.
Shows like “Supergirl” that have caped heroes fighting against violent attackers or “NCIS” that have the characters working in law enforcement can sometimes find their episodes uncomfortably echoing real-life events. The Washington Post reports that the network will pull the episodes of “Supergirl” and “NCIS: Los Angeles” it had scheduled for tonight.
The USA Network season one finale, scheduled to air on August 26, was delayed a week after reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward were shot on live TV.
