Celine Dion never wanted to record My Heart Will Go On
Céline Dion appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday and slayed the Wheel of Musical Impressions game.
Jimmy’s had so many people do impressions of Celine while playing Musical Impressions Generator over the years that it was time for the songbird to turn the tables and do her versions of top singers and it was priceless!
In March 2015, Dion was in the headlines after Ariana Grande impersonated her on “The Tonight Show”.
“I know your show!” Dion hit Cher’s deep warble while also adding a bit of sass to the simple song’s lyrics before actually singing a few lines from Cher’s hit “Believe”.
The “My Heart Will Go On” singer concluded her hilarious performance with an imitation of the artist Sia, throwing her hair over her head to hide her face as the star does.
Fallon had help from Dion when he took on Michael Jackson’s sound to sing Drake’s One Dance and seemed in his element while singing C is For Cookie in Johnny Cash’s voice.
And then came a big surprise, as the mom of three channeled Rihanna to sing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” to the tune of “Work”. My children, my family, my fans night after night-it feels like it’s not just one thing that’s helping me.
Next, Dion served a performance of Hush, Little Baby as we imagine Sia might.
I love Celine Dion. Shortly after his passing she returned to the stage at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for a tribute to the late music mogul and to resume her longstanding residency there.
