Celine Dion’s Husband Rene Angclil Dead at 73

Coroner John Fudenberg said his office in Clark County, Las Vegas, was notified on Thursday of Angelil’s death.

He had been battling a recurrence of throat cancer.

The music manager made a full recovery after being diagnosed with throat cancer in 1998 but contracted it again and underwent surgery for it in 2013.

Angélil has been in Dion’s life since they met when she was 12 years old, serving as both her manager and mentor, even mortgaging his home to fund her first record, La voix du bon Dieu. “There’s a part of me that never really left the stage”.
