Celine Dion’s husband, Rene Angelil, has reportedly died

Celine Dion had announced past year that she would be going on a hiatus from her Las Vegas residency because of her husband’s ill health.

It’s the end of the throat cancer battle for Rene Angelil.

Angelil’s sudden death on Thursday came as a surprise to those close to him. “Rene Angelil Rest in peace”. Dion said he supported her later return to the stage.

Celine Dion’s husband was suffering from cancer since 1999.

Chaloult said Angelil died Thursday morning at his home in Las Vegas.

Star Magazine reported that Celine Dion tried to make as many wonderful memories with Rene and her three sons, even spending a memorable last Christmas with the family.

Moreover, the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner released a statement regarding the passing of Rene. “The family wishes to live the mourning in privacy”, a post on Dion’s Facebook page read.

At age 12, Dion had recorded a demo tape with her mother and sent it to Angelil. Dion had withdrawn herself away from the limelight several times to care for him. “So he wants me out there, and I have to say that I’m ready”.
