Celine Dion’s husband Rene Angelil planned his funeral before death
The 47-year-old songstress’ friend Annie Horth said in a recent interview that Angelil was generous enough to prepare his funeral since the last few months with Dion, reports People magazine.

Both Celine and Rene are hugely popular in their native Canada, and it has been arranged that Rene’s funeral will be televised on three networks, with flags flying at halt-staff.
Fans have been invited to pay their respects to Angelil, who would have turned 74 on Saturday, during A Chapel of Rest event at the Basilica on the eve of the funeral.
Despite reports she was planning to perform a tribute to her husband of 21 years, a rep insisted to TMZ that it had never been an option for the star because she’s still in the throes of grief, though there is a chance a favourite track could be used during the ceremony. In addition, Dion made an announcement that she will be hosting a celebration of Rene’s life on February 3 at the Vegas Colosseum in Caesars Palace.
Two days after the devastating death of her husband, Celine’s older brother also lost his battle with cancer on January 17, 2016. His passing happened just two days after Angelil’s death.
The service will take place at the same venue where the couple – who have 14-year-old son, Rene-Charles, and five-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson together – tied the knot. He also has other children with previous marriages – Jean Pierre and Anne-Marie.
