Celine Dion To Livestream Her Return To The Las Vegas Stage
It’s unclear if the tribute portion of the concert will remain once she returns.
Announced via her website, CelineDion.com, the performance will feature Celine’s “loving tribute to Rene” and a “trip down memory lane”.
The singer is expected to offer an homage to her Angélil during her first show since his death on January 14, 2016.
Dion’s husband Rene Angélil died in January at the age of 73 after a long battle with throat cancer.
The singer will return to her Las Vegas residency on Tuesday night and will feature a “love tribute” to her husband, according to Dion’s website.
Angélil was Dion’s manager and his death from cancer – two days before his 74th birthday – hit the “My Heart Will Go On” singer hard.
The French Canadian star broke down as she paid tribute to Rene, who she said had kept her grounded and had always looked out for her.
“Rene…I love you…so much”. “At the same time I’m supposed to feel extremely comfortable being home and right now I’m not sure how comfortable I feel”.
