Celtic to play Hearts in League Cup quarter-finals
Celtic have been drawn to face Hearts in the quarter-final of the Scottish League Cup in what is undoubtedly the tie of the round.
Ronny Deila’s side were held to a goalless draw by the Jambos at Celtic Park on Saturday, despite dominating possession and having 24 shots at goal.
The Parkhead side knocked Hearts out in the last 16 last season en route to winning the trophy.
Greenock Morton will discover their reward for disposing of Motherwell while Hibernian are the second Championship team in contention after a 2-0 triumph over Aberdeen.
There is a Highland derby to come in Inverness where the William Hill Scottish Cup holders take on in-form Ross County.
Rangers thrashed Morton 4-0 at the weekend and St Johnstone will be favourites to progress to the semi-final.
Ties are to be played on 27/28 October.
