Cent Expands STARZ Partnership
It may not be doing Empire numbers-and for what it’s worth, the unnecessary comparisons the two shows face is frequently fueled by 50 to begin with-but 50 Cent’s Starz series Power is doing impressive things in its own right.
It is then the most ideal background for Starz’s “Power” TV series, which stars Omari Hardwick as Ghost and which focuses on his journey toward “coming clean”.
While Starz has yet to pinpoint “Power’s” exact return, it announced that production has started early this month and is now well underway in New York.
Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has signed a two-year exclusive premium television pact with Starz, the cabler that is home to his drama series “Power”.
Power season two averaged more than 6.8 million viewers per episode, on track to become the most watched season ever for a Starz original series, according to the network. The network already ordered a third season, which will run 10 episodes. Creator, executive producer and showrunner Courtney Kemp Agboh is back for Season 3 alongside Jackson and fellow EPs Mark Canton, Randall Emmett and Gary Lennon.
Jackson is repped by APA and attorneys Stephen Savva and Eric Feig.
Jackson has also carved out a successful and acclaimed career as an actor and producer.
