Central Ohio woman charged after husband killed by auto
A second-grade Ohio teacher is charged with running over her husband while their two daughters watched from inside the vehicle.
Tyack said Ms. Luke has received support via social media from across the nation and that she, “her daughters, her extended family and Dan’s family are all grieving”.
“He’s pinning her to my bed and he’s making marks on my mom, and he’s like, and he’s not letting her through or anything”, she said, while screaming for her father to stop and crying. She said her father was holding on to one of the car’s windows but fell off and got knocked unconscious as they tried to drive down the driveway. About 10 minutes in, Luke’s daughter is heard saying “Go fast, Mommy”, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
“She has been fully reinstated as a result of the charges being dropped”, school district spokesman David Ball said this morning. Instead the woman told that her husband was abusive.
Facebook Ohio couple Angela and Daniel Luke clashed in a fatal domestic dispute Sunday night, according to reports. My father’s dead! My father’s dead! But she then says: “Oh, my God, he’s dead”. Please send someone. The dispatcher kept the girl on the line and reassured her that help was on the way.
The sheriff’s office records clerk confirmed there are no prior sheriff’s report to the Lukes’ address.
Now the prosecution have agreed to drop the charges in nolle prosequi as they believe the case requires further investigation, NBC4i reports.
“It’s compelling enough that it allowed the superintendent to make a decision that she thought was the right decision for Mrs. Luke and the district”, Ball said.
Pickerington Superintendent Valerie Browning-Thompson originally had placed Luke on unpaid administrative leave, which meant she and her daughters would also lose their health insurance at the end of the month, Luke’s attorney, Jonathan Tyack has said. A message left seeking comment from her attorney wasn’t returned. I’d like to call for an immediate removal of the prosecutor in Fairfield county, his clear lack of good judgement shows a direct liability to any case he may be involved with.
