USA officials have not confirmed American victims, but a family representative told NBC News that Sean Copeland and his 11-year-old son Brodie, were among the dead.
A GoFundMe.com page was set up, seeking to raise $100,000 for the family.
“Then on to flamenco dancing in Barcelona and they had been celebrating Bastille Day in Nice when this unthinkable and unfair act of terror took Sean and Brodie from the world far too soon”, Davis said.
“They were there on vacation with my two other cousins and aunt celebrating a birthday”, Haley Copeland said on Facebook, identifying herself as Sean Copeland’s niece and Brodie’s cousin.
Victim Mohammed bin Abdel Qader al-Toukabri, who was born in 1958, hailed from Tunisia’s Beja Governorate and worked as a mechanic in Nice, the ministry said.
“Now, more than ever, we must unite with our allies around the globe to end the scourge of radical Islamic terrorism that threatens our freedoms and civilization itself”, he said.
