CES 2016: LG to Unveil New CordZero Vacuum With Augmented Reality
The new augmented reality enabled vacuum cleaner utilizes new AR tech through a feature called Home-Joy, LG explained.
There’s also the CordZero Handstick, which, like the Canister, carry their own batteries so that they can be used even in places without power sources. This lets users watch a live feed of the cleaning cycle from their phone when not at home, but more interesting is that the vacuum can act as movable home security camera. The vacuum cleaner is equipped with augmented reality technology.
LG will also be showing off two less smart but still smartly designed cordless vacuum cleaners at CES 2016.
Robovacs make at least one household chore a little easier, but with limited intelligence you can’t just tell them what rooms need cleaning.
Users will also be able to have photos sent from the Hom-Bot, and those photos can be stored on the smartphone.
The cameras also allow the HOM-BOT Turbo+ to be controlled remotely from a smartphone when users would rather just take the wheel and direct the vacuum to the exact spot that needs cleaning.
CordZero Canister: No Cords, No HasslesThe LG CordZero Canister is fueled by a new lithium-ion battery PowerPack™ 80V that provides powerful suction and continuous cleaning for up to 40 minutes in regular mode, guaranteeing maximum suction and cleaning performance that is almost 10 percent more effective in cleaning than LG’s conventional 2,000 watt corded vacuum cleaner.
“The powerful new technologies found on the latest LG CordZero products represent the company’s commitment to innovation and providing customers with a better life through better products”, said Jo Seong-jin, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company.
According to LG the CordZero collection provides a premium cleaning experience.
At the core of any decent robot vacuum is its navigation software, and it’s no different for LG’s latest little machine helper.
All three cleaners will be displayed for everyone to see at CES 2016 next month.
