Cesc Fabregas anxious Over Chelsea’s Dismal Form
While the manager has taken responsibility for the club’s slump this season, several of his players including Eden Hazard, Nemanja Matic and Fabregas have let him down on many occasions this term.
And Fabregas admitted the troubles are affecting him.
Asked about his own physical condition after an outstanding performance personally against England on Friday night, Fabregas said: “Did you watch the game?” But Jose Mourinho is a victor; when he loses he goes home sad – as I do.
‘Football is my life. It is everything to me.
“I love the football here, I still have a house in London, and I would like to be with a team that is competitive in England and in Europe”.
“I will stay out until the end of the season and try to find another club next season”, he added.
‘The season is f***ed. Things are not going for us and the results don’t do justice to how we are playing. We are doing things better, but there’s no luck. We have to start winning immediately. When we won the Decima [Real’s 10th Champions League crown in 2013] at Madrid, he sent me a message of congratulations. We don’t like to be losing. “But I am still confident in this group and this team and I am sure we will be able to improve things”. Always trying to get to the top and always fighting for things.
“We can not play like that because we don’t have the players”. “I am always saying he deserves it, 100 per cent”.
“When you’re not winning everything is that much harder, but all of us – the players, fans and the coach – have to pull together and be tough”.
Drogba said: “I believe things often come in three-year cycles (and) we had arrived at the end of such a cycle”.
Diego Costa’s alarming dip in form has been a key factor behind the Stamford Bridge club’s problems.
Mourinho remains determined to turn Chelsea’s fortunes around, but the Blues sit in 16th place heading into the global break.
The former Arsenal captain has failed to emulate last season’s form for the defending English champions.
“If you’re a striker at your best, hopefully you can score more goals”. You talk to a manager or a player and the next day there’s something different.
