Champ Holly Holm ogled, serenaded and cheered at UFC Q&A
The party is tonight and Rousey hasn’t been seen in public much since her loss to Holly Holm.
“I’m going to the Marine Ball” said a smiling but exhausted Rousey. The ball is a night for us to celebrate all the Marine Corps’ traditions and accomplishments, he wrote in an email in November. That’s because Rousey recently caught up with TMZ cameras and she noted that she will be honoring her commitment. In all that circus, the promise to go to a dance with some eager young guy she’s never met kind of gets lost.
She said that had Haschert from Somerdale not asked her she’d probably be staying “on my couch crying and eating ice cream for another month, so it’s probably a good thing”.
Rousey, 28, admitted she was stilled bummed after her jaw-dropping loss to Holm last month, but that she was going to the Marine Corps Ball after she accepted an offer from Lance Corporal Jarrod Haschert in September.
Hey guys, I’m trying to take Ronda Rousey to the Marine Corps Ball this year and I need your help to reach out to her and her fans.
Haschert, who told Rousey she was his celebrity crush in a viral video in August, said last week he hadn’t heard from Rousey and wasn’t sure if she would attend.
Haschert’s video of the proposal has nearly 5.5 million views.
In an a recent interview with ESPN The Magazine, Rousey said she would agree to a rematch wtih Holms, and may retire after it. “Do I call him?”
