Champlain College named to Princeton Review’s 2016 ‘Best 380 Colleges’
The College of Idaho was again named one of the nation’s top schools in The Princeton Review‘s 2016 edition of The Best 380 Colleges. Collectively, the 649 colleges on The Princeton Review’s “regional best” lists constitute about 25 percent of the nation’s 2,500 four-year colleges.
Champlain College also held steady at #14 in the list of the 2015 U.S. News & World Report’s’ “America’s Best Colleges” list of “Best Regional Colleges in the North”.
The College of Idaho scored 94 (out of 99) in the category “quality of campus life”, with one student telling the Princeton Review that “on campus there is always something going on…I rarely have a night where there isn’t something that I could do for fun”.
At GWU, it’s obviously a lot easier to get involved with a think tank, political organization or intern on Capitol Hill if you live in Washington, D.C. numerous other institutions in the ranking are liberal arts schools, plus a couple of campuses training members of the military.

“College of the Atlantic’s outstanding academics are the chief reason we chose it for this book”, said the Review’s Robert Franek. The Princeton Review editors made their selections based on data the company collected from its survey of administrators at several hundred colleges in each region, as well as its staff visits to schools over the years, and the perspectives of college counselors and advisors whose opinions the company solicits.
The 225 colleges The Princeton Review chose for its “Best in the Northeast” 2016 list are located in 11 states: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont, and the District of Columbia.

The Princeton Review is an education services company known for its tutoring, test-prep courses, books and other student resources. The survey asks students 80 questions about their school’s academics, administration, student body and themselves. The company is not affiliated with Princeton University.
