Chandler Jones hospitalized Sunday morning under weird circumstances
WEEI’s Dennis & Callahan, citing police sources, reported that Jones had “OD’d on pills” at Rob Gronkowski’s house Saturday.
Jones arrived at the police station at 7:42 a.m. ET on Sunday morning with “a medical emergency” and was evaluated by medical personnel before being taken to the Norwood Hospital around 8 a.m. ET.
O’Leary told the Herald that a police report does not exist for the incident since the department only fills out paperwork for medical calls with a fatality.
Chandler Jones was hospitalized on Sunday. Foxboro Police is denying any interaction with Jones, but the denial is based on the fact that Jones was there for medical reasons, and not for police reasons.
Now, in addition to those records – which were modified after having medical information deleted, according to Foxboro’s police chief – audio of the dispatch has been released. “I didn’t look at it as a police specific call”. “He reported to work on time Monday morning and has participated in all meetings and practices since then”.
There has been no reporting about the nature of Jones’ medical emergency, other than that it did not prevent Jones from practicing.
The audio later includes a quote from an officer claiming, “Yeah, I’ve got his keys off the kitchen table”. There are no details on why Jones was in the hospital or what he was treated for.
Jones missed the final game of the regular season against the Miami Dolphins due to a toe injury and has been selected to the Pro Bowl this year.
