Chandler Jones: I made a really stupid mistake

This week a freaky story emerged about New England Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones’ incident with police and hospital visit.

Jones was hospitalized on Sunday after he walked to the Foxboro police station while experiencing a bad reaction to a substance that was reported to be synthetic marijuana.

Looking at the chiefs’ salary, the 2014 Foxborugh Town report said the chief’s yearly salary is $147,000, plus he gets another $34,000 from an unnamed third party vendor, totaling $182,000 for 2014 alone.

Jones was found by Foxboro police outside their headquarters Sunday morning seeking medical attention.

“Without any warning or provocation, this man got down on his knees, he interlocked his fingers, and he placed his hands tightly against the back of his head”, the police wrote.

The Boston Globe reported Jones was on synthetic marijuana and on Thursday provided even more weird details from a police report. Police escorted him to the hospital, where he was admitted and released the same day.

In a matter of two minutes of game time, the Chiefs went from down eight points and driving to make it closer to trailing by 15 with Jones’ hustle play being the linchpin.

Marijuana use is banned by the NFL. “Right now, my main focus is becoming the best player I could be and helping the team”.

“Like I said, I want to apologize to all the fans and everyone who support”, Jones said. He missed the December 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but returned December 13 against the Houston Texans before he was removed from the team’s injury report the next week.

Earlier Thursday, Bill Belichick also remained rather mum on Jones’ situation.

“We’ll find out on Saturday”, the coach said dismissively. “That might be easier for all of us”.
