Chargers right guard DJ Fluker listed as probable vs Miami

Woodhead caught touchdown passes of 20, 9 and 9 yards and scored on a 2-yard run to lead the Chargers to a 30-14 victory against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

The Miami Dolphins (5-8) want to maintain a physical, aggressive presence heading into this week’s game at San Diego (3-10).

Lamar Miller is also looking to add his name to the club’s record books, as he needs just 231 yards over the final three games to become the first Dolphins running back with back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons since Ricky Williams (2002-03). If San Diego can make the Dolphins one dimensional, meaning the game is on the right arm of QB Ryan Tannehill, the Chargers get a great advantage. And as Chargers fans pile into their seats one last time to cheer on their Bolts, the stadium won’t go out like it should.

If that comes to pass, the Chargers will not be going out on a high.

“It could be emotional, it really could be”, quarterback Philip Rivers said Wednesday. With the threat of relocation still looming, however, there’s no guarantee that the Chargers will be in San Diego after 2015. As speculation about a potential move to Los Angeles mounts, the Chargers beat the Dolphins in their final home game of the season. The proposed new stadium in St. Louis would cost some $1.1 billion, $150 million of which would come from the city. Th over/under for this game is 46 total points.

Most try to deflect the level of distraction this has on their team and their on the field play, but it has been no secret just how much off the field distractions truly are.

Coming up on the Christmas Eve edition of “Thursday Night Football”, we’ve got an AFC matchup between the Chargers and the Raiders. The owners will decide the fates of these three teams in January as they vote on the future of these franchises. This is the most disappointing season in recent memory for Miami.

The Chargers have had only 12 winning seasons since the Spanos family bought the team in 1984. Woodhead finished the first half with four 42 yards and two touchdowns on four receptions. Junior Seau had one of the finest games of his Hall of Fame career, and “Touchdown Tony” Martin’s over-the-shoulder catch of Stan Humphries’ 43-yard heave was the game-winner.

-Wide receiver Jarvis Landry is back at kickoff and punt return duties, but interim coach Dan Campbell acknowledged his second-year player needed a break for a couple of games.

NOTES: Chargers LT King Dunlap (ankle) missed his seventh game of the season…. Their lack of run offense has allowed Phillip Rivers, despite the Chargers record to be third in the league for pass yards behind only Tom Brady and Carson Palmer.
