Charges Dropped Against Aaron Kromer
Assistant state attorney Bobby Elmore told ESPN that the accusers’ parents asked for the charge to be dismissed after they reached an “amicable resolution” with Kromer’s attorneys.
Just yesterday Kromer pleaded not guilty to a charge that he punched a boy in the face for using his beach chairs in Florida.
Buffalo also announced the hiring on Pat Meyer as team operations consultant, but he has an offensive line coaching background and will be assisting Anderson.
The Bills have yet to comment on Kromer’s situation or whether he will return to his role as offensive line coach at any point this season. That’s one day before the Bills are scheduled to play their preseason finale against the Detroit Lions, and more than a week after Bills training camp – which begins tomorrow – will have wrapped up. The team placed him on paid leave two-and-a-half weeks ago shortly after Kromer was arrested in Florida for allegedly punching a boy. According to the sheriff’s report, Kromer then threatened to kill the boy’s family if he reported the incident to authorities. He is entering his first season as Buffalo’s offensive line coach after being hired by Rex Ryan in January.
Kromer previously coached with the New Orleans Saints (2008-12), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2005-07) and Oakland Raiders (2001-04).
