Charlie Strong’s testimony sought in divorce case of Louisville trustee
WDRB-TV in Kentucky reported Saturday that a lawyer representing University of Louisville trustee Jonathan Blue filed a motion calling Strong a “critical witness” in the divorce case, and asked a judge to order Strong to testify and produce evidence related to the case.
In a February 19 motion, Blue, a businessman and U of L trustee, said he needs Strong’s testimony and records to show the behavior of Blue’s wife, Tracy, was “inconsistent with being a role model and responsible caretaker” for their two teenaged daughters. Strong was coach at Louisville from 2010-2013 before he was hired at Texas. Oldfather also requests that Strong return clothing and a Movado watch Tracy allegedly gave to him.
Tracy Blue claimed in a affidavit that the couple attempted to resolve their disputes and was unsuccessful, at which point Jonathan terminated use of her credit cards and prevented her from being able to provide food for herself and the couple’s children. The couple were married in 1998.
Strong issued a statement saying he’s received no court order in the case. “We are doing that now and will continue to do so”.
McCann points out that Strong’s attorney could seek to quash the subpoena with various reasons including: needing more time to assemble the materials, no longer possessing some of the requested items and that some items are irrelevant to the case. Strong promised Texas fans the case would not interfere with team preparations for the 2016 season.
