Charlize Theron and Sean Penn Back Together – but Just for Reshoots

After Sean Penn’s shocking break up from Oscar winning actress Charlize Theron last month, fans immediately assumed he would head back into the arms of his ex wife, Madonna.

Theron and Penn, who were engaged and dated for a year and a half, began filming The Last Face – which co-stars Javier Bardem and Blue Is The Warmest Color’s Adèle Exarchopoulos- last year.

And a couple days later, Charlize Theron looked somber as she was spotted arriving at Los Angeles worldwide Airport on Friday.

The outlet published images of the exes blatantly ignoring each other and putting on stone faces while out of character on set.

Charlize and Sean have known each other for decades, but only went public with their romance in December 2013.

Charlize was photographed laughing and smiling while doing hair and makeup, with ex Sean nowhere near the beauty area.

The 54-year-old former “Dead Man Walking” star is directing the film while the 39-year-old actress is leading its cast. Penn’s the director of “The Last Face” and Theron’s the star…so he’s her boss. “She just cut it off”.

“Charlize wasn’t responding to his calls and texts”, a source says of how Charlize Theron completely tuned Sean Penn out while the two were at Cannes.

Sean has been married twice before – to Madonna from 1985 to 1989 and to Robin Wright from 1996 to 2010.
